The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,  retired General John Gbor has reiterated the determination of his party to eradicate abject poverty in Nigeria if voted into office in this year's general elections.
General Gbor re-echoed this pledge while exchanging views recently with newsmen in Abuja.

He described poverty as the common denominator among the Nigerian masses irrespective of their geopolitical locations, pointing out that it is at the roots of disaffections and avoidable clashes amongst the common people of country.
The APGA standard bearer blamed the ruling class in the country notwithstanding their ethnic or religious backgrounds for selfishly always engaging in conspiracy to impoverish majority of the citizenry, and vowed that a federal government under his watch would reverse the ugly trend.

He explained that unlike the APC and PDP,  which he accused of "unbridled materialism and profligacy, APGA is a people oriented political party which places very high premium on the welfare of the ordinary Nigerian citizens.
General Gbor assured that his administration would drastically reduce the cost of governance and channel the gains to the well being of the underprivileged and  provision of basic amenities for improved life of the people.
He maintained that the Restructuring Plans of APGA would make Nigeria a truly democratic country where all the ethnic nationalities would have sense of belong in the spirit of the party's philosophy of "be your brothers and sisters keeper" and encouraging socioeconomic competition amongst "the federating economic entities of the country".

General Gbor expressed happiness with the good governance and unparalleled delivery of democracy dividends by the APGA led government in Anambra state, pointing out that Governor Willie Obiano's glaring achievements in that Southeast state has further endeared the party to many Nigerians who really want genuine paradigm shift and enduring socioeconomic progress of the country.
