The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Patrick Obianwu has said that all flag bearers of the party who would be elected into the National Assembly in next month's general elections would work in synergy to champion and protect fundamental interests of the state and the Igbo nation.

Chief Obianwu stated this during a political gathering at Fegge in Onitsha South local government area.

He explained that the future National Assembly members in both the Senate and House of Representatives would willingly subscribe to the principled leadership of Senator Victor Umeh, who he described as an outstanding and most courageous federal legislator in Nigeria, today. 

The Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency standard bearer of APGA maintained that Restructuring of the Nigerian Federation in order to return the country to the practice of true or fiscal federalism is very essential for enduring unity and socioeconomic prosperity of the country.

Chief Obianwu reiterated his call for unity, peace and harmony among all party faithful in the two local government areas and beyond, in order to guarantee another resounding victory for APGA in the forthcoming general elections in Nigeria, adding that the party's mantra of "be your brothers and sisters keeper" should be regarded as a sacred clarion call by Ndigbo, especially the people of Anambra state, where great political leaders such as the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Dr. Alex Ekwueme among others came from#
