Agulu Community Extols Gov. Obiano.

Ifeanyi Aniagoh writes

As the Social Media Aide to the high performing governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, I have experienced, first hand, the endless attempt by our people to express their joy whenever the Governor comes around to flag off, commission or inspect ongoing projects within their communities.

With eyes always on the boss to know the right time to grab the best shot, my ears will always spread out like a digital antenna to pick the pieces of undiluted remarks from the people... feedback.

Being a governor with human feelings, loved by his people, 90% of the side talks are usually positive while the other 5% will be complaints about a community leader or political appointee whom they feel blocks their access to the Governor.

So, I am used to the people, I mean the real ndi Anambra at the grassroots heaping praises on the Willingly Working Willie for his good deeds and exceptional leadership style which has expanded the frontiers of excellence in Anambra State.

Most times, I would simply nod my head in admiration and thank The Lord for the opportunity to work with such a leader... Until yesterday, when I almost wept... In fact, I shed tears.

While Gov Obiano inspected the quality and level of work at the Golden Tulip Agulu Lake Hotel, it was "joy unlimited" for the people present.

The town practically relocated to the Hotel site; the Traditional Ruler, President General of the Town Union, Captains of Industry and highly respected stakeholders from the Town, the youth and students as well as market men and women were all on ground to see things for themselves and off course behold the Governor who defied all odds to ensure the completion of the once abandoned edifice.

They couldn't hide their joy as chants of praises rented the air as the governor and his team toured the modern facilities right in the heart of their town.

I was engrossed in my work, taking shots and effecting uploads, but a brief attempt to hear what the people were saying got me emotional with tears of joy...

"God bless you, you are a good son," they chanted. The young, the elderly and the aged chanted same!

Tears of joy dropped for if ndi Agulu call Gov Obiano their son and wish for God's blessings on him, the governor has touched the heart of their hearts.

I left the Hotel excited not only because the Governor declared that his incoming Exco will hold their first retreat at the 5 Star facility but with the conviction that my Honeymoon will start at Golden Tulip Agulu Lake Hotel and Resort.
