The peoples Governor  of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano has called on the Federal Government to revisit the issue of second Niger Bridge, the Onitsha /Enugu Express way and consider more appointments for Ndi Anambra.
The Governor made the appeal  at Ifitedunu during the burial mass of  late Mrs Rosaline Ezinma Akabueze -mother to the Director General, National Budget Office, Mr Ben Akabueze.

The burial mass held at St Gabriel's Catholic Church, Ifitedunu in Dunukofia Council Area of the state, attracted dignitaries including vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige and his Industry, Trade and Investment counterpart, Dr Okey Enelama, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma, Senator Uche Ekwunife among many others.

Gov Obiano said that if the Federal Government addresses those issues, it would help give people of the State a little confidence that the government at the center was interested in their welfare.

He noted that his administration was living out the true meaning of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) slogan of "be your brother's keeper", saying that that informed his efforts at carrying every segment of the society along in the governance process.

While enumerating some of the achievements of his administration in the community, he urged them to support him complete his second term and promised that he will not disappoint them.

Describing the deceased as a great woman, Gov Obiano prayed God to grant her soul eternal repose.

In a tribute, Vice President Osinbajo described Dr Akabueze as a unique personality who has distinguished himself across various spheres in the service of the nation, acknowledged that it simply points to kind of person his mother was.

Earlier in a homily, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor emphasized that Ndigbo wants a united Nigeria but it must be predicated on equity and justice, adding that there is great need for restructuring to quell agitations for secession which he noted is fuelled by years of marginalization and corruption.

He called on all to be conscious that they will one-day be gone and so endeavour to use their God-given lives to touch lives.

Responding, Dr Akabueze thanked all who came to commiserate with them during the period of grief and prayed God to repay them for whatever they put in supporting them.
